MARCO REAL

Bodegas Marco Real is located in Olite (Navarra), Spain. At the end of the 1980’s, Antonio Catalan, along with a group of friends and colleagues from his hotel chain, decided to create a bodega. It was at this time that the shareholder Juan Ignacio Velasco, owner of la Navarra Distilleries, came into the picture. It did not take long for Velasco to get sales moving and place Marco Real wines in well-known national and international markets.
At present, Juan Ignacio Velasco is the largest shareholder of Bodegas Marco Real. For that reason, the winery has become part of the La Navarra Group. Focusing the majority of their investments in the wine sector, La Navarra Group is also the owner of the following wineries: Señorío de Andión (D.O. Navarra), Viñedos de Villaester (D.O. Toro) and Belasco de Baquedano (Mendoza – Argentina). These bodegas are equipped with state of the art facilities to make high quality wine in very limited quantities.
