JAUME MESQUIDA

JAUME MESQUIDA is a family-run winery. The company was founded in 1945 although there are documents relating to the family with the winemaking trade since the early 16th century.

In 2004 Bàrbara and Jaume Mesquida Mora took up the challenge of continuing the family tradition. This signified the incorporation of the fourth generation of Porreres winemakers, with the goal of continuing to be a pioneering winery and spreading the culture of and passion for wine. Jaume Mesquida is much more than wine! The Jaume Mesquida winery is a commitment to our island and our environment; we follow the indications and principles of ecological agriculture. We cultivate a number of varieties.

The black grapes varieties indigenous to Mallorca are callet, fogoneu and mantonegro. We also cultivate cabernet sauvignon, merlot, syrah, pinot noir, monastrell, and tempranillo.
